The steep face angle — usually between 45 and 60 degrees — positions the engraved surface toward the viewer rather than toward the sky, making it highly readable in all light conditions. The separate granite base provides a stable foundation and visual grounding for the stone. Many families choose to include a small die on top of the base with a vase cutout for fresh flowers. Installation is not something we sell or arrange — placement is handled by your family directly with the cemetery, and most cemeteries either set slant markers themselves or require an installer they approve.
